Homework Week 12

Random stuff I learned between May 19th through May 25th 2025
  • SAP Hana is a database management system used by SAP ERP. I thought all the table structure across all implementation (across all company) would somewhat similar. However, the more I dig into my company’s ERP implementation— the more difference I seen. I mean it should be kinda expected, SAP Hana should have a standarized set of table— but each company may modify it according to their uses.
  • My room mate complained to me about my snoring at night. They woken me up and told me to sleep at an angle to reduce my snooring. About a year ago, I noticed my room mate bought a box of earplug— I asked why and they told me about my snoring, I believe that was the first time this gotten into my attention. I also realized I been having worse sleep quality recently, connecting the dots— I think these two have something to do with each other.
  • I found this video, Evey unwritten rule of life and thought this video have a lot of very good insight. Some that I found to be noteworthy
    • If someone is opening up, doesn’t mean they’re asking to be fixed
    • Not everything broken wants to be fixed, some things just want to be witnessed
    • Empathy isn’t about matching story, it is about matching emotional tone. When someone whisper, don’t answer with monologue. Just hold the space.
    • If you make the joke, no one else can weaponize it.
    • Seen without being exposed, inclusion isn’t about announcing belonging— it’s about quitely designing it (schools should take note on this)
    • When someone is in crisis, even small decision making feel like a burder (this includes help they might want to ask for, when someone offer it). It’s the difference between “good luck out there” vs “here, take this torch, you’re going to need it”
    • Don’t start a new chapter when the credit already rolling —don’t start a new topic when your friend is about to leave.
