Writing this on April 17th 2025… yeah I should keep that “never skip twice in a row” principle
- Started using XState for Logline Project, I genuinely really like it. Reminded me so much of BLoc pattern in Flutter. Business logic and state are managed into a single place. Learning XState still very daunting tho, and I have to keep documentation page open.
- Bought myself a smartwatch, Huawei Watch GT 5. Been wanting to buy a new smart watch/band since last year. I keep posponing buying new watch because I am still mourning. Forced myself to buy it, quite expensive. Found out that it doesn’t play very nicely with my iPhone. Lol.
- Played ice skating this week with my gf. Second time ever. The first time was last year, I was only able to stand. I can’t move (at least not nicely). This time, I am capable enough to move around without being afraid of falling. I think I only felt like three times. I even taught my gf, drag her around. I even able to set up my phone to record us. A very, very big improvement. Really proud of myself.
- I learned there’s (at least) two type of ice skating shoes. Mine, since I have a big foot, is a speedy type. My gf’s small feet use a ice skating dance or ballet thingy. They have different handling, mine is much better if I don’t stand up straight. My gf’s shoes is better suited if she stand up straight. Yeah, I told her to look down a little since mine’s is better that way, not knowing it’s worse for her.
- Spent $99 for Apple Developer account. I actually ordered since January to publicize my Accountable project. Never heard from Apple after that. I reorder it, and after two days they finally let me to pay them. Tho, they sent me email first saying they can’t validate my card, then one hour later they succesfully debit my card. Weird.
- My brain somehow reminded me a sentence my mom used to scream out loud, “korp pegawai Republik Indonesia” while I was showering. Just randomly decide “meh, it’s time to be sad again”.
- A coworker of mine lost his sister due to Dengue Fever. She was 7 month pregnant. On Monday everything was fine, on Tuesday no heartbeat was detected of her baby, by Wednesday she passed away. It broke my heart to pieces just learning about it.
- My friend’s mom found an old friend of mine that I lost contact since last November (he changed phone number). My friend told me and asked me if we want to hang out. We hang out at another friend’s house (we have a blast). Thou the one we lost contact with, the one we actually want to meet with, didn’t come. Lol. Also, I found out he did changed contact, but the new number was announced at a WhatsApp group. I didn’t realized that, lol.
